MJD Law and Caiado Guerreiro collaborate on servicing the Portuguese community in the Southern African Development Community

Globalaw’s MJD Law and Caiado Guerreiro are excited to announce their cross-border collaboration in providing expert legal advice to the Portuguese community in the Southern African Development Community (“SADC”) with a particular focus on South Africa, Mozambique and Angola (the latter two being previously colonised Portuguese-speaking countries).

MJD Law is a South African based law firm with over twenty years collective experience in assisting its multi-national clients in South Africa and SADC.

Caiado Guerreiro is a multijurisdictional law firm based in Lisbon, Portugal with desks in Mozambique and Angola, and a significant track-record in these jurisdictions.

MJD Law’s associate, Ralitsa Do Tanque, is of Portuguese descent and has recently spent time working in Madeira and assisting clients between Portugal and South Africa. In extending our support of the Portuguese community in South Africa, MJD Law has recently joined the South African Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (“SAPCC”), an organisation that represents Portuguese businesses and professional interests in South Africa. Through joining the SAPCC and being actively involved in the Portuguese community in South Africa, Ralitsa wishes to assist with Portuguese investment into South Africa and the South African Portuguese community at large with, inter alia, all their corporate, commercial and dispute resolution needs.
